Vero Beach Museum of Art: Current & Upcoming Exhibits

January 27 - April 28 the Vero Beach Museum of Art will showcase "Ancient Egypt & the Napoleonic Era: Masterworks from the Dahesh Museum of Art,” artworks that highlight western influences on the Orient since Napoleon's entry into Egypt. The exhibition highlights paintings, sculptures, and illustrated books by artists, many of whom received academic training, honing their skills in drawing and painting from life and sketching directly from nature.

All showcased works are on loan from the Dahesh Museum of Art in New York, the sole U.S. institution dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, and interpreting pieces by Europe's academically trained artists from the 19th and early 20th centuries.

May 18 The Vero Beach Museum presents Rock ‘N’ Roll Billboards of the Sunset Strip: Photographs by Robert Landau, through September 24, featuring photographs by Robert Landau that's capture iconic rock and roll billboards often adapted from edgy album cover art. Landau's book "Rock ‘N’ Roll Billboards of the Sunset Strip" led to this touring exhibition, offering a glimpse into this unique period of rock history. From the Doors' breakthrough in 1967 to the rise of MTV in the early 80s, the exhibition tracks the evolution of these iconic billboards and their significance in music and graphic art.

The museum also welcomes Concerts in the Park on February 29 with the sophisticated, soulful sounds of flamenco guitar music with Don Soledad & Trio Soledad and accomplished jazz pianist, singer, and composer Mike Telesmanick on March 21.
