Spring Art Talks Offer Museum Guests a Deeper Understanding of the French Moderns Exhibition

Vero Beach Museum of Art (VBMA) members and guests looking to enhance their appreciation of the visiting French Moderns: Monet to Matisse, 1850–1950 exhibition should mark their calendars for spring Art Talk programs. Offered at noon on the third Wednesday of each month, Art Talk focuses on select artworks from special museum exhibitions and the permanent collection:
April 16: Capturing Light—Artistic Expressions Across Mediums
May 21: Art and Innovation—A Journey of Experimentation
June 18: Seeing Through Time—How Art Reflects Its Era
Registered participants meet docents at Visitor Services and then head to the galleries for 45-60 minutes of careful looking and discussion. French Moderns: Monet to Matisse, 1850–1950 is on view at VBMA only through June 22. The internationally touring exhibition features 59 paintings and sculptures from the Brooklyn Museum’s esteemed collection of European art, showcasing some of the most renowned names in Modern Art—Pierre Bonnard, Gustave Caillebotte, Paul Cézanne, Marc Chagall, Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot, Gustave Courbet, Edgar Degas, Édouard Manet, Henri Matisse, Claude Monet, Berthe Morisot, Gabriele Münter, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Auguste Rodin, and others.
