This October, Treasure Coast Girls Coalition (TCGC) is bringing the community together for a safe, free, and family-friendly celebration of our Family Fun Fall Fest on Sunday, October 26th, from 12 PM–5 PM at the Vero Beach Heritage Center.
Families will enjoy live entertainment, delicious food, seasonal games, raffles, and activities for all ages, all at no cost.
“Our goal is to create a space where neighbors connect, children laugh, and families make lasting memories, free from financial barriers.”
The Treasure Coast Girls Coalition founded in 2001 by Shala Edwards, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering girls and young women in the Treasure Coast region of Florida. Through after-school programs, mentorship, leadership training, and STEM-focused initiatives, the coalition helps participants build confidence, develop life skills, and explore career opportunities. Its mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment where girls can discover their potential, overcome challenges, and become future leaders in their communities.
Treasure Coast Girls Coalition (TCGC) educates, elevates, and empowers girls to be the best they can be.
“In 2024, we opened our new headquarters and expanded programming to include culinary arts, career readiness, and international partnership initiatives aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4, 5, and 17. We are small but mighty, with a clear vision: ensure every girl has access to opportunity, structure, and the tools to thrive.”
