Concert Pianist Dimas Caraballo to Perform


Talented local concert pianist, Dimas Caraballo, will present a concert entitled “Unforgettable Musical Memories Through the Years” at First Presbyterian Church in Vero Beach on Sunday, June 19 2022, at 4:00pm. The concert will take place in the sanctuary at 520 Royal Palm Boulevard in Vero Beach. Born in Havana, Cuba, Dimas Caraballo has graced the piano keys for many years. His serious piano studies found him under the instruction of professors whose tutelage ultimately dates back to Franz Liszt. For his pianistic abilities, he was awarded full scholarships to all universities that he attended in addition to stipend awards for his graduate studies.


Mr. Caraballo holds an Associate Arts Degree in Piano Performance from Broward Community College, a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance from the University of Miami, and a Double Master’s Degree in Piano Pedagogy and Performance from the University Of Michigan. Playing a complete repertoire of classical music, Mr. Caraballo has been honored with numerous awards, including First Place wins in the Southeast Florida Chopin Competition , the Annual Fort Lauderdale Piano Concerto Competition (marked debut with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Orchestra), the Michigan Music Teachers Association Collegiate Level State Competition, Germania Piano Concerto Competition (leading to the premier with the Saginaw Symphony Orchestra in Saginaw, Michigan), and the Young Keyboard Artist Competition.


During the 1996-1999 academic years, Mr. Caraballo served as Visiting Associate Professor of Dance in the dance department at the University of Michigan, which opened additional avenues that further developed facets of his abilities. The diverse experiences gave him the opportunity to collaborate with world-renowned Dance Masters and Dance. In addition, he has served as an adjudicator for several national piano competitions.


Accredited with standing ovations at each of his performances, Mr. Caraballo brings a passion and brilliance to the piano that is uncommon among his contemporaries. Heis is currently a Master Instructor of well over 30 students, many of which are first place competition winners and scholarship recipients, and has served as adjunct Professor at Wayne State Universities and Oakland University. Dimas also offers piano lessons for all levels in Vero Beach through the Primo School of Performing Arts, housed on the campus of

First Presbyterian Church.
