It’s an unprecedented time yet many Treasure Coast businesses including Almanac advertisers are still working, trying to serve the community while observing the importance of social distancing. Here are some creative offerings from our local businesses.
Head on over to Summer Crush Vineyard and Winery for some awesome discounts and a litle adult Easter egg hunt fun. Spend $50 or more (to go orders, of course) and spin the egg colored wheel for a chance to win prizes such as Easter candy, wine, even toilet paper (while supplies last), from the comfort and safety of your own car.
While many restaurants are offering to go, curbside pick up, delivery and more, some are going above and beyond.
Citrus Grillhouse is providing take out and curbside orders for all plus they are generously offering discount to the heroes on the front lines including doctors, nurses, hospital staff, police men and women, and firefighters.
Tacos and Citrus and Ice Cream? You better believe it. Only Countryside Citrus could pull off this combination which lets you load up on your vitamin C with fresh orange juice, grapefruit juice, and produce from Countryside Citrus plus, order comfort meals or tacos for pick up at their beachside location featuring El Sid, Taqueria.
And of course you can always count on Nino’s Family Italian Restaurants for your favorite pizza and Italian dishes. Nino’s has three locations in Vero Beach, all offering curbside pickup and delivery.
Craving some art and culture? Vero Beach Museum of Art is providing various outlets for families and art lovers. In an effort to keep young minds engaged and entertained they’ve taken “Museum Stories” online with weekly creative lesson plans, book suggestions, music and art activities. No kids? No problem, check out Anke’s Art Minute every Monday and Tuesday Flick Picks, when Film Studies coordinator, Diane Thelen, recommends a new educational film on an artist or time period related to VBMA’s permanent collection. Plus check out their page Extras for more online entertainment and enrichment.
Need more inspiration? Here are a few more fun and interesting activities from some of our generous advertisers:
The Mental Health Association has arranged a Turtle Trax Quarantine Scavenger Hunt! You can download a list of locations and share your photos with them.
Find fun activity packets for the kids online with the Daily Manatee from the Manatee Observation and Education Center.
Check out Sharks with Savannah of FAU/Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute, a fascinating video about the study of our local sharks and rays.
Check out Vero Fitness’ workout of the week on Facebook.
